CAT HAUS was founded by Lora Lombardi in August 2019 in Portland, OR.

We are now located in San Francisco, CA. We were closed for our move, starting a new job, and starting a family. We are happy to reopen FALL 2023.

HOW WE MAKE SUSTAINABLE EFFORTS:

We source the majority of our carpet from warehouse scraps that are doomed to the dump. We collect rugs, carpets & fabrics from commercial retailers and showroom samples. We scour craigslist, our friends’ wood shops & free piles for sturdy wood scraps to create our base forms.

In Portland, we shopped locally at Mr. Plywood for our lumber, purchased hardware from our local hardware haven Wink’s Hardware & when possible used repurposed building materials from the Rebuilding Center. We still order our hardware from Winks, but are always open to meeting new retailers to help us shop local. Please reach out if you have hardware or wood available for us to reuse!
